Table Top Flat Track
MARKEL LEADS Resweber, crossed up in the south turn. Joe Leonard, tucked in on the backstretch, battles Ralph White for first place. Action is all over the track. The TV camera is busy, the flag flies.
Complete even to the rest rooms, this little track is going great guns. It was built by Dennis Ujalaky, working with precision for nearly a year, and peopled with figures out of CYCLE WORLD'S pages. If detail counts in judging model quality, the Ujalaky track scores points for an enthusiast's attention to such things as authentic numbers (now outdated), recognizable riding style and appropriate makes for the racers; however, the Harleys are running 74 engines.
Reveil kits were used for most of the motorcycles but the Gold Stars were carved from scratch. The .tableau is on exhibit at Jerry Rada's motorcycle shop in Flint, Michigan.
