RETRACTABLE TIE-DOWN HOOKS
Johnson Automatically Retractable Tie-Down Hooks are said to eliminate dangerous projections, unwanted "pop ping out" and need for operating latches. Travelers Aid Calculator, offered by the Paul S. Morton Engineering Service, gives mpg, traveling time in hours neces sary to make a trip, speed which must be maintained to travel a given distance in a given time, distance that could be covered in a given time at a constant speed, miles on a filling of gasoline, converts miles `per hour to miles per minute, and computes the cost of gaso line for a trip. POSITIVE LOCK WASHERS
Loosening of nut/bolt/joint assem blies is said to be stopped by using Loc-Kit positive lock washers manufac tured by Flushing Enterprises, Inc. The two-piece Loc-Kit assembly is made of case hardened cold rolled steel with six or more inclined planes on facing sides, ridges on the other. The washers rotate on their inclined planes to take up gap and the assembly stays tight. Loc-Kit is available in hardware, automotive, and motorcycle shops.
MODERN SIDECAR
Thompson has introduced a light weight, fiberglass sidecar for use on motorcycles from 125 up to 750cc displacement.
