BEST USED BIKES HONDA CBR600RR

SERVICE

YEARS SOLD: 2003 to present MSRP NEW: $8599 (2003) to $11,490 (2013)

BLUE BOOK RETAIL VALUE: $3895 (2003) to $9890 (2013)

BASIC SPECS: A dohc, 599cc, inlinefour with Honda's Dual Stage Fuel Injection powers this middleweight supersport bike that has won countless championships around the world. The chassis features fully adjustable suspension with an inverted fork and MotoGP-derived Unit Pro-Link shock.

WHY IT'S DESIRABLE: The CBR600RR has always been a great bike, but when Honda redesigned it for 2007, it got even better because the weight had been reduced to a feathery 384 pounds. Complementing its svelte figure was a flexible engine. The CBR took Best Middleweight honors in Cycle World's Ten Best in 2007 and '08. Here's what we had to say: "As a streetbike, it can do no wrong. The engine cranks out impressive horsepower and is tractable all the way down in the rev-range basement. Handling has been improved dramatically, aided in part by a 16-pound drop in weight and radical new chassis geometry." Blue Book prices for our preferred 2007 and 2008 models are $5,445 and $6,070, respectively.

USEFUL RESOURCES: Information about Honda's CBR600RR is quite easy to find, as the bike has been one of the company's biggest sellers over the past decade. Check out 600rr.net, cbrforum.com/forum for extensive threads.
