ROEHRING AHEAD

Achin’ for a street-goin’ two-stroke? Walter Roehrich feels your pain. Which is why the Illinois machinist designed and built his homespun Bimota Vdue. Created by grafting two YZ250 motocross cylinders onto a common crankcase, the liquid-cooled, 60-degree V-Twin makes 102 horsepower at the rear Dunlop. And there’s more to come, Roehrich says, what with the carbs (direct fuel injection is in the works), cylinder porting and mufflers currently stone-stock. Chassis-wise, a chromoly steel twin-spar

frame and box-section swingarm make for compact, Yamaha TZ250-like dimensions, not to mention a claimed dry weight of 325 pounds. Like what you see? Then e-maii Roehrich at roehrmcycle@cs.com.
