Big shine in no time

FOR SOME MOTORCYCLISTS, detailing their bikes is a labor of love, an afternoon task to be enjoyed and savored But for others, a sound scrubbing is simply one more time-consuming obstacle to overcome before riding. Not anymore, thanks to ProClean 1000’s new Spray-N-Shine.

Billed as a quick-detail wax, the environmentally friendly solution is designed to remove smudges, fingerprints and light dirt from leather, plastic, aluminum, chrome and most other motorcycle-ish surfaces. It comes in a 16-ounce spray bottle that the manufacturer claims holds enough to clean 10 to 12 motorcycles.

We didn’t clean quite that many bikes, but we did touch

up our fair share. Simply spray the solvent on a clean cloth or directly onto the bike, and rub. We tried out the cleanser on painted steel tanks, and water spots and fingerprints vanished. It made short work of light road grime on both cast-aluminum wheels and stainlesssteel mufflers. And it also rid dead bugs from chrome mirrors and wiped out dried coolant from alumi-

num engine cases.
