What's happened to the Bimota 500 Vdue, the two-stroke buzz-bomb that was splashed across the world's moto-mags a few months back? Missing in action, is what, held back by a mysterious lack of performance in some early production bikes. After chasing various fuil-injection maladies, Bimota discovered a high percentage of cylinders with misaligned transfer ports. Production was halted and the offending cylinders replaced. By the time you read this, the Vdue pipeline should once again be flowing. One casualty of the affair is Bimota General Manager Walter Martini, who has resigned his post.
