ZOOMY NEW SUZUKI

What's new under the Rising Sun? How about a sorta’ sporty Suzuki standard sorta’ named after a California beach? Powered by an air/oil-cooled, 399cc dohc inline-Four, the new Inazuma puts its claimed 53 horsepower (at 11,000 rpm) to the ground via a meaty, 170mm-wide rear tire. Its steel double-cradle frame is suspended by an aluminum swingarm with twin KYB piggyback-reservoir shocks and a right-side-up fork. Brakes are Italian-made Brembos, with twin four-piston calipers pinching floating rotors up front and a single-piston setup in the rear. Claimed dry weight is 407 pounds, wheelbase 57.5 inches, seat height 29.3 inches. Available in silver, maroon or black, the Inazuma retails for approximately $6000 in Japan. There are no plans to bring it stateside.
