HIGH-SPEED ART

Print-maker Randy Owens, best known for his renderings of Formula One race cars, has turned his attention to motorcycles. “The rider is such a strong element of the design-you get a real sense of the human factor as it relates to the machine. It’s very exciting,” says the artist, who also designs sportswear and pens the graphics for sports

cars and Indy racers. Owens’ first motorcycle serigraph (siikscreened print) is of Kevin Schwantz on his championship-winning Suzuki 500 GP bike. Each of the 145 copies will be signed and numbered, then autographed by Schwantz. Priced at $275, the prints are available from Randy Owens Original Serigraphs, 1765 Brookside Ln., Vienna, VA 22182; 800/769-1677.
