A cafe-racer from BMW? If reports in England's Motor Cycle News are correct, expect a stripped-down sport Boxer late in 1996, tentatively dubbed the R1100S. Fifth of the new-generation R-models, it would resemble the concept sportbike unveiled to favorable response at last year's Cologne Show. Contacted by Cycle World, sources at BMW North America would neither confirm nor deny the existence of the S, saying only, "We haven't heard anything about it."
