POWER UNIT
The PC Series Power Unit, manufactured by Sebring Electronics, replaces the existing battery, rectifier and voltage regulator, and is said to offer easier starting, be shock and vibration resistant, temperature compensated and water, gas and oil-proof. The 10-oz. unit can be installed anywhere on a motorcycle that there is a minimum airflow, with a typical installation time of 15 min. For states requiring a battery on motorcycles, Sebring offers a non-spill, rechargeable, 12-oz. battery. Details are available from Sebring Electronics, Dept. TWO-PIECE SUIT
A two-piece leather suit with padding at all vulnerable points is being offered by D. Lewis Ltd., Dept. CW-4, 124 Great Portland St., London, Wla 2DL, England. Called the phantom suit, it is said to be windproof and water repellant. The suit sells for $97.80 by sea, or $105.30 by air. Colors are available at extra cost.
MX JERSEYS
Open-mesh 100 percent nylon jerseys for use in motocross and other dirt competition now are offered by Sports T Shirts, 21200B Victory Blvd., Dept. 7, CW-4, Woodland Hills, CA 91364, for $13.45. The shirts are said to be very strong, yet lightweight, and provide good protection while the mesh design allows the shirt to “breathe” so that the body can be cooled by evaporation. The jerseys come in red, blue or gold with black collar and wrist bands. They can be ordered with any popular motorcycle’s name and insignia printed in non-fading ink. Sizes are small, medium, large and extra-large. Sports T Shirts also offers T-shirts at $3.45 and sweatshirts at $5.45, and does custom printing for dealers and clubs.
BOS MUFFLERS
Designed to replace the four stock Honda 750 mufflers, the two BOS mufflers slip right over the present header pipes and no unsightly clamps are needed. The mufflers are claimed not to interfere with other accessories and allow the use of full-size saddlebags. No rejetting or retuning is required. CLEANER COMBUSTION
Intercontinental Lubricants Corp. has introduced Golden Spectro synthetic based two-cycle motorcycle lubricant which is said to produce a marked reduction in spark plug fouling and exhaust smoking, prevent piston seizure and scuffing, eliminate ring wear, and prevent damage by rust and corrosion. MOTORCYCLE LOCK
Chapman Security Products has developed a lock using a large-diameter, tempered alloy steel wire rope with a bonded-on vinyl covering. Each end of the cable has a coupler which uses the ace-type of circular lock while fitting together to form a smooth, strong, positive locking arrangement.
