VICTORY DOES A DECADE

VICTORY HAS COME A long way since the V92C of 1999. Just take a look at the 10th Anniversary Special Edition Vision for proof.

Although the 2009 Vision shares a similar red-andblack-with-gold-pinstripes paint scheme with the firstever Victory, it couldn’t be more different. This chromed and optioned-to-the-gills machine even includes reverse (now available as an accessory on other Visions, too). Only 100 will be made. No prices were available at press time.

Changes to the rest of the line are evolutionary. Biggest news is the 106/6 Freedom engine now used in the Jackpot and Hammer models. This

performance-tuned 1731cc mill delivers a claimed 97 horsepower and 113 ft.-lb. of torque (the standard 100/6 used in the other models produces 85 hp/106 ft.-lb.). Model-line-wide changes include LED taillights and much lighter rims (minus

about 15 pounds front and rear!) for improved ride and handling.

Based on the success of the Vegas Low, a similar Kingpin Low is now offered with a reduced-height seat (just 25.2 inches) and repositioned controls to suit smaller riders.

Victory has for years fostered a relationship with the Ness family. 20-yearold Zach, grandson of Arlen, joins his dad Cory as part of the custom crew. But Victory has also added Roland Sands to the list of “Cool Consultants” and kicked off the relationship with a customized Vegas 8-Ball of distinct RSD style. Look for more as Victory tries to unlock a younger buyer audience.
