HOT HOSS, BOSS
In what is perhaps the unholiest car/bike marriage ever, the new Boss Hoss BHC-3 comes equipped with the same 425horsepower LS2 V-Eight that has been turning heads in the Chevrolet Corvette the last couple of years. And in a strange bit of irony, we have the EPA to thank for it! The previous cast-iron, 502-cubic-inch big block was dropped in favor of the Vette motor because the latter passes new emissions regs. Another benefit of the all-alloy LS2 is that it is 235 pounds lighter. Further, the BHC-3-like all 2008 Boss Hoss models-is fuel-injected. To make the new $48,000 Hoss bet ter handling, the shorter (ahem), 77-inch-wheelbase frame first used for the Boss Hoss SS is employed. Brembo brakes are now standard, which is hearten ing but, nevertheless, if you pick up one of these mega-motored machines, be sure to hold on tight'
