Pro Honda Helmet Bag

How to coddle your crash-hat
YOUR HELMET IS ALWAYS THERE FOR you, warding off wind, rain, bugs and road grime, ready to make the ultimate sacrifice should you take an unplanned trip over the handlebars. Do the ol' skidlid a favor, then, and treat it right when it's off your noggin. Pro Honda's Helmet Bag, a recent addition to the company's accessory catalog, is a good place to start.
Constructed of heavy-duty, water-re sistant black nylon, the bag is thickly fleece-lined and definitely a cut above the average helmet-holder. Inside, there's a velcro-sealed pocket that safely stores a spare faceshield. A zipper with sturdy rubberized pull-tabs closes the main corn partment.
The bag's base shows some clever thinking. It's made of stout, non-slip tex tured plastic and has a reinforced, grom meted hole off to the side, just big enough for a D-ring to fit through. That way, your bike's helmet lock can still be used to secure the bagged helmet. Ever parked at an event and come back several hours later to find your locked helmet coyered in dust-or worse, soaked by a passing rain shower? That need not happen again.
bag is only available at Honda dealers, which, of course, brings up its biggest drawback. While the red piping is attractive, those silk-screened Honda wings on the sides may be too much of a hurdle for riders of other brands. Get over it, we say, this bag is that good. Besides, your helmet can't read.
