BRUTALE GOES BIG

The naked-bike market is getting bigger, and so are naked bikes. Witness the 2006 MV Agusta Brutale 910, a bored-and-stroked version of 750cc model it replaces. New cylinder dimensions of 76.0 x 50.1mm yield a displacement of 909cc, which, with 13.0:1 compression, delivers big power: Claimed output is a spicy 136 horses with a healthy dose of 70.8 foot-pounds of torque at 7900 rpm. External engine

rged, allowing use of the existing frame, while design and material refinements principally carried over from the 996cc F4 1000 make the new mill 5.8 pounds lighter than that of the old 750.

Nice touches also carried over from the F4 repli-racer are a quick-change rear sprocket and adjustable footpegs. Expect the price of the Brutale 910 to be just under $15,000.
