Ron Wood Racing Chassis
FOR has NEARLY been the TWO North DECADES, American RON WOOD importer RACING of Rotax PRODUCTS aircooled four-stroke Singles. Now that Rotax no longer produces these engines, which have powered Wood-Rotax flat-trackers to 23 national dirt-track championships
and victory at every Peoria TT National from 1988 to 2001, Wood has designed new single-shock chassis (a twin-shocker is also offered) for the Honda CRF450R and Yamaha YZ426/450F. Boasting aircraft-quality 4130 chromoly tubing, the frames are fabricated on site by master builder and machinist Steve Jentges, the “J" in C&J Rolling chassis-you supply the engine, drive chain, sprockets and tires—retail for $7400. The Honda weighs 196 pounds, while the oil-tank-equipped Yamaha tips the scales at 201 lbs.
