ANTI-DIVE ALIVE!

Next-generation anti-dive front suspension, that’s the promise of Riwi Bike Products in Austria. Though conventional forks have been developed to near-perfection, Riwi says its three-pivot, shock-controlled system eliminates virtually any trace of stiction. The single fork leg and a rear tie-rod serve as anchors, while a center pivot point-pulling double-duty as the axle-moves through 4¾ inches of travel. With this design, brake dive is minimal and wheelbase is nearly constant. Riwi (www.caferace.com/riwi.htm) currently offers kits for most late-model naked bikes. Included is a three-spoke wheel, two four-piston calipers and a trick-looking “segmented” rotor, all for around $5000. The kit retains the original steering-head bearings and installation is estimated to take approximately five hours. Be the first on your block... -Mike Keller
