Snap-On Soft-Grip Ratcheting Screwdriver Set

Screwing made easy

WHO NEEDS A $73 SCREWDRIVER? You do. If you aren’t already a tool freak, using Snap-on’s Soft-Grip Ratcheting Screw-driver Set will make one out of you. Like every Snap-on product we’ve tried, the Soft-Grip is a durable, high-quality and useful device. The set contains a handle, two knurled magnetic shank/bit-holders of different lengths, and five driver bits (two Phillips, two flat-tip and one Torx) that stow in the screw-off handle end

when not in use. The accompanying plastic case in which these items can be stored also has space for optional addons, such as a stubby handle, different shafts, nut-drivers and more.

This is screwing pleasure. The nicely contoured handle fits any size hand, while the rubber surface offers excellent grip. The knurled shafts provide purchase for even greasy fingers, and the ratcheting action means quicker and more accurate movement with less fa-

tigue. The driver also locks in place for conventional screwdriver-style use.

The only downside is that you can’t go Primitive Pete and use the Soft-Grip as a chisel-save that for your old, obsolete screwdrivers. □
