KLX110: Entry-level green streak

Kawasaki is jumping into the playbike market in a big way with its all-new KLX110. Designed to compete with other small-bore four-strokes such as Honda’s XR70R and Yamaha’s TT-R90, the off-road-only KLX shares many of its components with other Kawasakis. Tuned for trailriding, the sohc, two-valve 111cc Single is sourced from a home-market scooter, while KX65 plastic is used throughout and the single-shock backbone frame rides on a KX60 fork and wheels. At presstime, the bike’s price and availability were up in the air, but dealers will surely be up to speed by the time you read this. -Jimmy Lewis
