Hardcore sportbike types can now add Avon to their new-tire shopping list. The company recently introduced its Azaro Sport and track-compound Supersport radials to the press at Spain’s Catalunya circuit near Barcelona, and both tires performed exceptionally well. In fact, the Supersport offers feedback and grip on par with top DOT-approved race rubber. Both employ Avon’s unique Variable Belt Density (VBD) construction, optimized for sport riding. The ZR-rated Sport is already in stock in seven sizes (yes, Honda CBR900RR owners, there is a 16-inch front), while the Supersport should arrive stateside straightaway. Prices for rear tires start at $163.
