Here it is, uncut, uncensored, direct from the clubhouses and garages of America, the most complete listing of clubs for motorcyclists ever produced.
By now we're getting better at this. In the last couple of years we've accumulated the names and addresses of dozens of clubs. Brand clubs, regional clubs, political clubs, racing clubs, everything created so groups of motorcyclists could work together. There is, however, no master list of every club in the world, no computer to ask about addresses. That's where you come in. You've sent letters by the boxload, listing clubs. Great.
Here they are. Organized by brand, by region and by class. Categories include make clubs, regional orga nizations, national clubs, race sanctioning groups and Cana dian clubs. Not shown here are most of the clubs that hold regular events in local areas. These are mostly AMA affili ated clubs, one of several in each of the 40 AMA regions. These are the clubs that hold Sunday morning rides and en duros and other AMA-sanc tioned events.
Finding these clubs is best done through the AMA, which you must join to par ticipate in AMA events. Al ternately, you can find events in your area posted at local motorcycle shops.
What you get for joining a club varies with the organiza tion. Most make clubs publish newsletters with technical in formation, parts sources and tips on accessories and club events. Many offer T-shirts. badges or patches.
The list is getting longer everytime it's published. Not only do we find out about more clubs, more come into existence. Clubs that aren't listed here could help them selves and us if they'd send a note with information and addresses.
