Sometimes it's impossible to find that elusive little thing that you need. Most likely it's a tool and you know there should be one, because a tool like you have in mind is the only way of doing a job. If you are like us, the solution is to make it yourself so you have it the next time you need it. That is our thinking in producing two special issues, Cycle World's Accessory & Clothing Book, and Cycle World's Introduction to Motorcycling.

Cycle World’s Motorcycle Accessory & Clothing Book is a directory of motorcycle accessories. Letters were sent to all the manufacturers of accessories for motorcycles, asking for photos and specifications of products. When there weren’t enough responses, more letters went out. The result is a 180 page catalog of racks and fairings and boots and gloves and seats and filters and pistons and camshafts and every other item of clothing or accessory part we could find. There are photos of

new products, list prices, and descriptions.

The other special issue is Cycle World’s Introduction to Motorcycling. This is a new edition of the introduction produced last year. Included are chapters on how to ride, where to find a motorcycle school, off-road riding skills, high performance riding, maintenance, an explanation of all types of competition and a glossary of terms. It is the most complete source of information for new motorcyclists available.

There may be newsstands that don’t sell these special issues. We don’t know who they are or where they are, but when we find them, they are going to be in trouble.
