Speedway World Champion Bruce Penhall appeared on the nationally syndicated Merv Griffin television talk show. In his conversations with Griffin, Penhall talked about winning the championship and said he wanted to defend his title in 1982. Penhall also said he had a serious interest in becoming an actor.
