Tacki-Grips

EVALUATION

Ever wonder how different firms test their latest brainstorms? We’re convinced some don’t test them. Others spend considerable time and money testing so the buyer gets his money's worth. The Gold Belt, best kidney belt ever, obviously had been thoroughly tested before introduction. The success of that prompted the Gold Belt people to develop other worthwhile products. The latest is a grip that doesn't get slippery when wet.

We had an opportunity to help test prototypes of the new Tacki-Grips recently. AÍ Simon and Dave Ekins, owners of Gold Belt, called with an invitation to test while riding for three days in Baja. Being fans of Baja riding. w>e accepted. Dave explained the general route and then told us about the other 20 invited testers, mostly normal guys like Roger DeCoster, Malcolm Smith, Marty Tripes, Jim Wienert. Mark Blackwell and Gary Drean. Why not get input from the best?

The thing that makes the Tacki-Grips different is the material they are made from. It is sticky and tough. The stickiness is throughout the material, doesn’t wear

off and is easily maintained by washing off surface dirt with soap and water. Additionally. they w'on’t harden, crack or fade from the sun. They are designed for street

and dirt use and available in black, red. yellow, blue and green. Price is $6.95 from The Gold Belt Line, 7045 Darby Ave., Reseda, Calif. 91335 (213) 705-5689. 13
