YAMAHA ANNOUNCES TZ125
Yamaha will sell the new water-cooled TZ125 to racers on the basis of a resume submitted to Racing Department Manager Ken Clark. The bike has been very successful in Asian racing over the last two years, and puts out a claimed 30 horsepower at 12,000 rpm. Bore and stroke is 56 x 50mm for a displacement of 123cc. Compression ratio is 7.9:1, lubrication by 15:1 premix, ignition by CDI and carbure -tion by 34mm Mikuni. The bike has a dry clutch and six-speed transmission.
Wheelbase is 47.4 in., tank capacity 2.5 gal., and claimed dry weight 159 lb. Rear suspension is monoshock.
The bike runs on 2.50-18 tires and has single hydraulic disc brakes front and rear.
