AGGRESSOR MX TIRE

Carlisle Tire & Rubber has introduced a new motocross tire, called the Aggressor, which features light weight, reinforced bead area to avoid rim cutting and bead slippage, tapered tread lugs with shallow radius basis for selfcleaning, and tread lugs arranged in rows of six and five rather than five and four, to provide more traction. TIMING GAUGE

Central Tool Company has introduced a specially designed timing gauge with a small metric reading indicator and special adaptor, for timing twocycle motocycle engines. Called model number 278, the gauge is compact, so that the fuel tank does not need to be removed. Additional information may be obtained from Central Tool Company, Dept. EUROPEAN STYLING

This European styled, lightweight, two-piece durable nylon/cotton riding suit is said to be water-repellent and tearproof. The jacket features a mandarin collar, “Velcro” closed zipper front, four concealed zipper pockets and an adjustable belt. The pants are windproof “bib” style, with adjustable shoulder straps, snap bottom, over the shoe fit, zippers down both legs, and a large pocket on the left leg. CHROMED CHAIN GUARD

BULLET-PROOF SHIELD

Performance Marketing has developed a new safety face shield for Bell Star and Trackstar 4000 helmets which is shatter-proof, impact resistant, heat resistant and self extinguishing. The shield was tested with rounds of No. 6 2-3/4-in. magnum 12-gauge shotgun pellets from 25 feet (note pierced metal snap). CUSTOM PLATES

BMW HEAT SHIELD

A new exhaust pipe heat shield set for BMWs now is available through authorized BMW dealers. The set fits BMW models R50/5, R60/5, R75/5, R68, R69 and R69S. Suggested retail price for the chrome plated shields is $12.50 per set, including clamps.

ISOCYCLE DIP STICK

Engine oil temperatures are said to be reduced 5-30 percent by replacing the stock dip stick with an Isocycle Dip Stick Oil Cooler. The unit uses the heat pipe, a NASA developed heat ex changer, that uses a boiling-condensing action to remove heat from hot engine oil and transmit it to a special aluminum radiator. IRON-ON TRANSFERS

Iron-on transfers for most brands of motorcycles now are available by mail from Cycle Shirt Shop, Dept. CW-8, 16161 Ventura Blvd., Encino, CA 91316. The transfers are in color, are usually action illustrations, and are said not to fade, chip, or peel. The transfers sell for $ 1 each.

SAFETY CLOTHING

Saf-T-Bak, Inc. has introduced new clothing designed to reduce the possibility of auto-motorcycle collisions and increase motorcycle safety by making it easier for automobile drivers to spot riders. RETAINING RING PLIERS

Anderton Darby Inc. has introduced a range of pliers for retaining rings. Smallest plier is the “Mini” model, with a safety stop to prevent overstressing of small rings in the 12 through 35 size range. SPORTSTER KIT

Corbin-Gentry is offering a complete six-part kit for the Harley-Davidson Sportster which accommodates models up through and including 1971. Heavy wall seamless structural pipe is used in the frame. Girder-type handlebars are chrome plated, heavy wall steel. The saddle is the Celebration Mark I model and a chrome plated sissy bar bolts directly to the frame. MULTI VACUUM GAUGES

A vacuum gauge set with four separate gauges for testing multi-cylinder motorcycles is being offered by Expert Cycle for the Honda 750, 350 or 500 models, as well as for nearly all three and four-cylinder motorcycles. LIFE JACK

A compact convenience tool which includes a can opener, hole punch can opener, bottle opener, flashlight and a set of four screwdriver attachments now is offered by Todayco. FOUR-STROKE ENGINE COOLERS

Two new four-stroke motorcycle engine cooler kits have been introduced by Hayden. The Swirl-Cool line incorporates several recent discoveries in inner turbulator and outer fin design, and is said to produce highly efficient oil cooling. Model K-2434 is engineered for the Honda 750 and Model K2435 is designed for the Harley-Davidson Sportster, BSA 411, 500 and 600, Norton 750, Triumph 500 and 650, and other dry sump machines. TWIST-GRIP KITS

Azusa Engineering is offering twistgrip kits featuring small, soft rubber fins to produce a slip-proof control. The basic control, at $3.95, is also available fitted with an integral button-type electrical switch right next to the operator’s thumb. A 36-in. shielded lead wire is attached, ready to hook-up as a kill switch, horn button, or to actuate any other electrical accessory.
