NEW D-A MULTI-VISCOSITY OIL
D-A Lubricant Co., Inc., announces the availability of new D-A Speed-Sport Multi-Viscosity Motor Oil for high-per formance street and over-highway en gines. D-A is the nation's leading inde pendent manufacturer and marketer of heavy-duty lubricants, as well as D-A Speed-Sport Motor Oil, which was de veloped for high-performance and pro fessional racing engines.
The new multi-viscosity oil is formu lated from high-quality base oils meet ing D-A's rigid specifications, then care fully blended with scientifically evalu ated additives for maximum engine pro tection in all weather conditions.
Extensive research in D-A's labora tories into polymerized hydrocarbons came up with a strong Viscosity Index Improver, the single additive that deter mines a lubricant's ability to change viscosity in extreme high and low tem peratures. Weak improvers tend to "shear" or break down in high perfor mance operation, which was overcome in D-A's test program.
Unsurpassed-though not recom mended in racing engines-this multiviscosity lubricant cannot be outdone for street and over-highway operation. This lubricant contains the same ability as D-A smgle-viscosity motor oil to eliminate power-robbing deposits and formations created by many conven tional motor oils.
Available in SAE 1OW-40, this new motor oil is recommended for all two cycle and four-cycle, air-cooled and water-cooled engines, where a multi viscosity oil is recommended by the manufacturer.

Universal Electronics has developed, and is now marketing, a new alarm device that is designed to protect most cycles from use by unauthorized persons. The unit is equipped with a key that allows the owner to turn the alarm on and off.
When the alarm is activated, and the cycle is moved, the unit detects the movement and sounds the cycle’s horn. A sensitivity control is available for controlling the angle of engagement.
The unit sells for $29.95 and is available for immediate delivery. Write to Universal Electronics, Dept. CW-10, 667 West Avenue I, Lancaster, CA 93534. Indicate make and model of cycle when ordering.
BIG JOHN BOOTS
Maurice Arden’s world-famous “Big John” boots are now available from U.S. Racers, Dept. CW-10, P.O. Box 163, Downey, CA 90241.
The new “Super Cross” boot has all the features that have made Big Johns the world’s standard for motocross racers, but now has a new instep strap that incorporates an ankle pad and new, smooth-finish leather.
Other outstanding features are a one-piece sole of solid leather which is nailed and sewn and contoured for peg grip, yet is slidable over rocks and the ground without snag. Reinforced toe and heel are complemented by a full length tongue which keeps out dirt, dust and water as well as any sewn leather boot can.
Six buckles are strategically located for support and are adjustable for fit and comfort. 21/2-mm thick leather is used throughout and lapped in front of the shin area. Rot-proof Terylene thread is used exclusively.
Big John boots are available from the distributor and cost $48 a pair.
BARONi FORKS
Baroni racing forks and shocks are now available in the United States. Manufactured by a former Italian racing star, they are possibly the most highly developed suspension units in the indus try. The forks feature a unique "double damping" system, controlling the travel progressively in both directions. A "cap tive" oil reservoir makes them impos sible to bottom. The last 3/4 in. of extension travel is hydraulically safety damped to prevent unnecessary shock and stress to the lower fork legs. Stan chion tubes are Swedish chrome-moly steel and are hard chrome plated. Crowns and fork legs are pressure molded from avunol R, developed for the new Concorde supersonic airplane. The legs are cast and precision machined to reveal any subsurface flaws.
