To help pack more air into those Keihin carburetors, Daytona Products offers 350and 450-cc Honda owners new, dynamometer-tuned velocity air horns. The manufacturer claims that these easily installed items will yield a minimum of five percent more power. The spun aluminum units retail for $4.75 each. Daytona Products. Inc., Dept. CW-5, P.O. FIVE-BHP MINI KIT
Michrina Enterprises, Inc., Dept. CW-5, 11859 Levan Rd., Livonia, MI 48150, says that its model 5000-KX is the only high powered and fully sus pended minibike available in kit form. It comes with chrome, fold-down handle bars, 6-in, wheels, chrome chain guard and fenders, and is powered by a 5-bhp Briggs & Stratton engine. The 5000-KX sells for $l99.95 and the assembled model, the 5000, for $229.95.
TRIUMPH 650 VALVE KIT
After 1966 engine No. 24875, Triumph valve springs were changed along with the lower base cups. Because of this, most racing-type valve springs would no longer fit the altered springs cups. Pre cision Machining has come up with a solution to this problem. It is a racing valve spring and alloy collar kit for 650-cc models. The new valve springs are made of ground silicon chrome wire and are shot-peened, burnished, and pre-set. The alloy collars and keepers are the same as described in Kit No. 6110. When com pressed, the inner spring pressure is rated at 100 lb. and the outer spring at 145 lb. Instructions are supplied with each kit, part No. 6100. FLASHLIGHT CIRCUIT TESTER
A valuable adjunct to any mechanic's toolkit is this product from Webco. It is a continuity tester and flashlight combination. It is very useful for detecting short circuits in electrical wiring. checking point gap, and just poking around in general. YAMAHA METISSE
Rickman Metisse components are now available for Yamaha DT-ls. Those who already own DT-ls and want to convert might choose the Metisse Mark IV Kit. This includes the frame, swinging arm and spindles, fiberglass components. rear brake lever and cable, saddle, air filter, a set of 20 chain adjusters, fuel petcock, engine mounting plates and studs, and handlebars. Also, both left and right brake pedals are provided, to allow a choice of shift locations. Included in the kit are all vital nuts, bolts, washers. and an engine sump shield. Also available is the Metisse Mark IV Chassis. This includes all of the above parts, plus Rickinan magnesium hubs, nylon-lined cables with Magura levers, Ceriani forks. Girling rear suspension, rear wheel with a 4.00-18 knobby tire, front wheel with a 3.50-19 trials or 3.00-21 sports tire. Prices are $597 for the kit, $1096 for the chassis, and $68 for the Yamaha Metisse expansion chamber. The frame is nickel plated and fiberglass parts are pigmented in U.S. Racing Blue.
