NEW MODELS & PRODUCTS
JAWA ROADSTERS
Jawa is now delivering its 175cc, 250cc and 350cc Sport Roadsters specially equipped at the factory with crash bars and turn signals. Value of the added accessories is estimated by Jawa to be more than $50, but the new POE price is only $20 more than for the standard versions. The new machines are designated Model 470/ 05C for the 175cc; Model 590/05C for the 250; and Model 361/05C for the 350.
These new models are available only through the East Coast Jawa Distributor, Javco Motorcycle Corp., Dept. CW, 555 Graham Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y. 11222. Dealers are invited to contact Javco regarding possible franchises.
FAIRED ROADSTER
Omega has introduced a new l00cc road bike for sporting bloods. In the model with fairing, it’s called the Silver Dart 100, weighs 146 pounds and retails for $465. Without the fairing, it’s called the Silver Lightning, weighs 134 pounds and sells for $435.
Both machines employ a space frame and rolling gear from Spain and utilize the powerful l00cc Zundapp single-cylinder, two-stroke engine. Standard equipment includes clip-ons, speedometer, horn, lighting, and racing-style brakes. Tires are 2.25 mounted on 18-inch wheels front and back.
The bikes are distributed by Ken Kay Distributing Co., 6472 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, Calif. 90028.
TRANSISTORIZED IGNITION
Accessory Distributors, Inc. has exclusive distribution of the “Network Spark Injector,” a seven-diode, threetransistor ignition system for motorcycle engines. The system increases spark energy as engine speed rises, providing optimum ignition when it is needed most, according to the makers. The unit lists at $49.95.
Of special interest to the racing crowd is an accessory to the unit — an rpm control — which enables the rider to set an rpm limit for his engine (up to 12,000 rpm). Should the engine over rev, as the result of the tire leaving pavement or sloppy gearchanging, for example, the control kills the ignition until the revs fall back to 10 rpm below the selected limit.
The limit can be reset while riding and a manual bypass is fitted for those moments when one throws caution to the winds. The control costs an additional $49.95. Direct inquiries to Accessory Distributors, Inc., Dept. CW, 602 W. 52nd Street, New York, N.Y. 10019.

NEW HODAKA 90
Several improvements have been made in the well-known Hodaka Ace 90 trailstreet bike sold by Pacific Basin Trading Company. Because of the extensive use of the Hodaka off the road, wider and higher handle bars replace the previous pattern. The swing arm has been lengthened by two inches for better handling.
A two-piece rear fender extends further over the rear wheel for better protection from mud and water. The rear half of the fender and the taillight are easily removed for competition or rigorous trail use.
Other innovations include safety-sealed headlamp and high intensity tail and stoplight, tested and approved by the California Highway Patrol. Headlamp now incorporates a high beam indicator.
COMPETITION TANKS
A new and beautifully crafted line of metal tanks for custom and competition motorcycles is being distributed exclusively by Webco Inc. They run the gamut from oil tanks to those for nitro fuelers. Manufactured by Kosman Motorcycle Specialties, they are available in any size or shape, or according to special specifications. Direct inquiries to Webco Inc., 218 Main Street, Venice, California.
