DOG DETERRENT
Apropos the hazard of attacking dogs mentioned in “Intelligent Motorcycling” which appeared in May CW, reader A. G. Szymanski writes to inform us of a dog repellent called HALT! that comes in a pocket-size spray can and is guaranteed to stop Fido in his tracks. It is available for $1.99 from Globe-a-Tron Enterprises, Box 5433, Milwaukee Jet. Station, Detroit 11.
S.T.D.A. FORMS
Triumph dealers in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico have recently formed the Southwest Triumph Dealers Association to promote interest in motorcycling and increase sales.

PERFECT SAFETY AWARD TO YAMAHA
In recognition of excellent safety performance and design, Yamaha International Corporation was presented a perfect safety award by Pacific Automobile Insurance Company in Los Angeles recently.
Not a single claim was filed with the company by the many thousands of customers who purchased Yamahas during the period 1959-1963. This is especially noteworthy inasmuch as this perfect safety record of a multi-million dollar product liability policy has never been equalled before by any motorcycle firm.

MOTORCYCLES AT A MILITARY ACADEMY
A knight of old would envy the lucky cadets at Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania, who will ride these ten new BSA C-15s. The bikes, all shiny and new in olive drab, have just joined a force of thirty machines in use at V.F.M.A.’s cadet training program. Sales and service on the “military units” is handled by Joe DiSimone’s Cycle Center in Devon, Penn.
FREE PASSES WITH NEW CYCLES
Dealers in the Los Angeles area have an added sales inducement courtesy of J. C. Agajanian: free passes to Ascot Park for every buyer of a new motorcycle. New buyers are admitted free to any Agajanian promotion except National Championship races. If they become fans, Aggie recovers his investment with interest.
Racing professionals as well as cycle salesmen should thank Aggie for thus promoting the speedway sport since, except for Nationals, where the purse is fixed, riders’ pay depends on the size of the box office receipts. •
